Pixar is currently developing a sequel to ‘Elemental‘ and a spin-off series for Disney+.
‘Elemental’ was released in theaters on June 16, 2023. Despite receiving negative responses from critics and a low rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the film managed to gross $469.5 million worldwide from a budget of $200 million. ‘Elemental’ returns to 1,925 US theaters this Labor Day weekend (2,160 total). The film is close to reaching $500 million worldwide, with just $30 million left to reach the mark.
‘Elemental’ has passed ‘Cars’ to become the 17th highest-grossing Pixar film worldwide. Directed by Peter Sohn from a screenplay by Sohn, John Hoberg, Kat Likkel, and Brenda Hsueh. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios.
Synopsis: Set in Element City, where Fire-, Water-, Earth- and Air residents live together, Elemental introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted, and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.
