Jona Xiao (Flavors of Youth, Raya and the Last Dragon) has been cast in a secret Marvel Studios project for Disney+. Cosmic Circus reported that Xiao has been listed as a “lead female” in an “NDA Marvel Project” on Disney+.
If the rumors are true, Xiao will join the MCU, where she previously turned down an offer for a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming. In an interview, Xiao stated that she auditioned for roles in several Marvel movies before being cast in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Xiao lists her role in Spider-Man: Homecoming as that of a character named “Gina” on her resume.
