Loki executive producer Kevin Wright hints at the chance of a theatrical release for the Loki Season 2 Finale, sharing that they’ve prepared a theatrical mix and discussed the possibility with Disney.

Speaking to ComicBook.com, Wright was asked about the Loki episodes on the big screen. Wright said, “I would love it, and I’ll say this: obviously, the sound mixing is different for streaming versus theatrical.” Wright added, “We did do a theatrical mix of the finale, and that was always like a, ‘Who knows?’ It’s something we talked about with Disney, depending on when the strikes ended and getting everybody together. Depending on how people react to this finale, we’ve got a version that could be.”

During The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Tom Hiddleston hinted he’s leaving the role of ‘Loki’ after the Season 2 finale, describing it as a full-circle moment and the conclusion to 6 films, 12 episodes, and 14 years of his life.

He said, “It all comes full circle. It’s the conclusion to season 2. It’s also the conclusion to season’s 1 and 2. It’s also the conclusion to 6 films, 12 episodes, and 14 years of my life.”

In an interview with CinemaBlend, the EP/head writer of Loki, Eric Martin confirmed that Marvel Studios has no plans for a third season. The approach was like two halves of a book, with Season 1 as the first half and Season 2 closing the chapter on Loki and the TVA. Beyond that, the future remains uncertain, and the focus is on telling a complete story across these two seasons.

Loki Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

The series stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Owen Wilson as Agent Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Ravonna Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie / The Variant, Eugene Cordero as Casey / Hunter K-5E, Ke Huy Quan as Ouroboros, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, and Jonathan Majors (Victor Timely).

Loki Seasons 1 and 2 are now available on Disney+.
