Directed by Eli Roth and written by Jeff Rendell, with a story by Roth and Rendell, is produced by Roger Birnbaum. The film is based on Eli Roth’s mock trailer of the same name from Grindhouse (2007). It’s the fourth feature-length film adapted from a Grindhouse mock trailer, following Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete” (2010) and its sequel “Machete Kills” (2013), as well as Jason Eisener’s “Hobo with a Shotgun” (2011).
