Jacob Scipio, who appeared in 2020’s ‘Bad Boys for Life,’ will return in the sequel, ‘Bad Boys 4,’ alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
In the film, Scipio will reprise his role as Armando Aretas, Mike’s son, while Lawrence and Smith will be returning as detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey. The plot details are not yet revealed.
In a recent episode of The Discourse on The Playlist Podcast, directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, known for their work on ‘Bad Boys For Life,’ have already filmed their next project, the fourth installment in the ‘Bad Boys’ franchise, aiming to bring more comedy to the series and taking Lawrence’s character, Marcus Burnett, to new heights, possibly titling it ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die‘ as ‘Bad Boys 4 Life’ was already used.
Directed by Adil & Bilall and written by Chris Bremner, ‘Bad Boys 4’ serves as the sequel to Bad Boys for Life (2020) and marks the fourth installment in the Bad Boys franchise. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Smith, and Doug Belgrad, ‘Bad Boys 4’ is a collaboration between Columbia Pictures, 2.0 Entertainment, Don Simpson/Jerry Bruckheimer Films, and Westbrook Studios.
The cast of ‘Bad Boys 4’ includes Smith as Detective Lieutenant Michael Eugene “Mike” Lowrey, Lawrence as Detective Lieutenant Marcus Miles Burnett, Vanessa Hudgens as Kelly, Alexander Ludwig as Dorn, Paola Núñez as Lieutenant Rita Secada, Tasha Smith as Theresa Burnett, John Salley as Fletcher, Eric Dane as the villain Banker, DJ Khaled as Manny the Butcher, Ioan Gruffudd, Rhea Seehorn, Joyner Lucas, Quinn Hemphill, and Melanie Liburd.
‘Bad Boys 4’ is scheduled to hit theaters on June 7, 2024, distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing.
