The title for ‘Bad Boys 4‘ has been confirmed by directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, known for directing ‘Bad Boys For Life,’ and it will be ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die.’
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah Talk ‘Bad Boys 4’ Plans: Comedy and a Possible ‘Bad Boys Ride or Die’
In a recent episode of The Discourse on The Playlist Podcast, directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, known for their work on ‘Bad Boys For Life,’ have already filmed their next project, the fourth installment in the ‘Bad Boys’ franchise, aiming to bring more comedy to the series and taking Martin Lawrence’s character, Marcus Burnett, to new heights, possibly titling it ‘Bad Boys Ride or Die’ as ‘Bad Boys 4 Life’ was already used.
El Arbi said, “Well, you know, the title that we like — I don’t know that they’re going to go for it yet — would be like, ‘Bad Boys Ride or Die,’ because ‘Bad Boys 4 Life’ is already taken.” El Arbi added, “We didn’t know there was going to be a fourth one, you know? But yeah, what’s going to happen in this one is, I think that there’s going to be way more comedy. The third one had a dramatic tone. With this one, it’s really our purpose to get people laughing and having a good time in the theater. Martin Lawrence is going to a higher level in this one. This is the culmination of the Marcus Burnett arc.”
In ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die,’ Martin Lawrence and Will Smith will be returning as detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey.
‘Bad Boys For Life’ is the third installment in the ‘Bad Boys’ film franchise, released in 2020. It features the return of Lawrence and Smith. In the film, they team up once again to take down a vengeful cartel leader. The film was directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. The film has grossed $417 million worldwide.
The release date for “Bad Boys Ride or Die” is yet to be announced, but it’s set to start production in 2024.
