The Spider-Man universe villain Sandman is confirmed to appear in Amazon’s upcoming Spider-Man Noir series, with Nicolas Cage in the titular role.
On X (formerly Twitter), scooper Daniel Richtman confirmed that Spider-Man Noir will battle Sandman in the first episode of the Spider-Man Noir series. He also noted that the show is expected to be huge.
Richtman said, “I heard this show is going to be huge. I mean he’s fighting Sandman in episode 1!”

While there are updates on the casting, the actor who will officially portray Sandman in the Spider-Man Noir series has not been announced yet. However, the character will indeed appear in the show.

Oren Uziel (‘22 Jump Street’) and Steve Lightfoot (‘The Punisher’) serve as co-showrunners and executive producers for Spider-Noir. They developed the series with the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse team of Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Pascal, all of whom also executive produce. Harry Bradbeer will executive produce and direct the first two episodes, with Pascal executive producing via Pascal Pictures.
The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, with Lord and Miller currently under an overall deal at Sony.
Spider-Noir will debut domestically on MGM+’s linear channel and then stream globally on Amazon Prime Video.
