The reshoots for Marvel’s Thunderbolts* began in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 4, 2024, with the cast present.

It is common for a Marvel film to undergo multiple reshoots. However, according to Daniel Richtman, Marvel plans to include some important additions to the film during this reshoot phase.
In a recent interview with CinemaBlend, David Harbour says he’s already watched a “very impressive” cut of Thunderbolts*.
Harbour said, “That’s what the film allows for. They do the good things that Marvel does well. But they also… they’re paying attention to chemistry. And I think there’s something about this group that’s special. That, to me, felt like when you watch Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans. When you watch these chemistries of people that – not to say that there’s romantic ties, but just the chemistry of human beings interrelated.”
Harbour added, “I think that’s what we need in these movies. Because we want to identify. We want to have an emotional hook when you see what Downey’s doing with this vulnerability and this humanity. You have all this fun, and then you have – at the center of it – a real person. And I think it’s just electric.”
As we reported — the test screenings report of the film — which has a “tone similar to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with good action scenes that stand out.” The film begins with Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) on a mission — and she is reportedly the main character. There are scenes set in the Red Room. Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) has one of the best action sequences in the film.
Directed by Schreier and stars Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Pugh as Yelena Belova, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster, Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, and Geraldine Viswanathan as Erin. Laurence Fishburne and Rachel Weisz are confirmed to reprise their roles as scientist Bill Foster and spy Melina Vostakov.
