According to fans who watched the first episode of Stranger Things Season 5, some important details have been shared (via Stranger Things Spoilers).
Spoilers ahead for Stranger Things Season 5 Episode 1:

Holly Wheeler is not okay in Episode 1. She’s talking to “nothing,” her teacher is worried, and Karen and Ted argue while she cries.
Ted Wheeler gets wrecked by a Demogorgon after checking out noises in the house. He smacks it with a golf club, it launches him across the room, and he ends up seriously injured.
The Mileven rooftop scene: Mike talks about their “happily ever after” once Vecna is defeated, comparing it to endings in his games, “pretty scenery and three waterfalls.”
At the start of Episode 2, Nancy and Eleven find Karen bleeding on the floor. The Demogorgon drags Holly into the Upside Down, Eleven follows, and gets trapped in the UD.

Dustin goes MIA during the Crawl mission because he gets jumped 4v1 by the jocks at Eddie’s grave. Jonathan fills in for him.
Steve Harrington and Jonathan Byers low-key compete for Nancy in Episode 1 by trying to fix the radio tower first after the station connection gets messed up.
Will drops his soda at the hospital, freaks out, and sprints off because he sees Robin and Vickie kissing. Robin sees him and reacts with “shit,” confusing Vickie.
Will passes out during the Crawl mission because he’s overwhelmed seeing the POV of the Demogorgon attacking the Wheeler house.
The “recap” of the past isn’t a montage. Robin does a voiceover while live on air at WSQK, with Steve in the background, explaining the town’s weird updates.
Here’s the full synopsis for Stranger Things 5:
“The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown.
Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread.
The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”
