Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday will not only feature Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, there will be multiple variants of Doom.
According to John Rocha on a recent episode of The Hot Mic, Avengers: Doomsday will feature multiple Doctor Doom variants. At least two of these variants are female: one wears a purple cloak with a golden mask, and another wears a gold cloak with a mask. A male Doom variant will also appear in the film.
John Rocha said, “You can mention that for Avengers: Doomsday, there are at least two female Doctor Dooms—one with a purple cloak and a golden mask, and the other with a gold cloak and a mask. And there are other Dooms as well, including male ones.”
It is reported that several cast members may be portraying different versions of Doctor Doom from alternate universes.
The film is also said to introduce a concept similar to a “Council of Dooms,” replacing the multiversal Council of Kangs previously featured in the MCU.
Most recently, internet scooper Daniel Richtman revealed on his Patreon that fans can expect “either a horde of Doctor Doom variants or an army of Doombots” in Avengers: Doomsday.
According to reports, the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday will be released one week before Avatar: Fire and Ash premieres in theaters. Some versions of the trailer reportedly run for 90 seconds.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron. The film features cinematography by Newton Thomas Sigel (Bohemian Rhapsody, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and production design by Kasra Farahani.
