Marvel Studios has finally given Ian McKellen‘s Magneto what he has always wished for: a mutant utopia.
According to a report by The Cosmic Circus, in Avengers: Doomsday, Magneto has successfully created the mutant sanctuary he’s always dreamed of. With his utopia under threat, he is expected to unleash his full power to protect it. His mindset during the multiversal incursions will reflect his complex and layered beliefs about survival and power.

In Doomsday, Magneto’s suit will feature red armor and a purple cape, an updated look for McKellen’s character from the previous X-Men movies. It is also confirmed that the film will include a major battle between McKellen’s Magneto and Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom at the X-Mansion.
It is also said that there will be a fight scene between Shang-Chi and Beast. Additionally, it was mentioned that there might be two versions of Yelena in the movie, which could mean Yelena vs. Mystique. Captain America (Sam Wilson) will be fighting Cyclops, Captain Marvel will face Binary, Reed Richards will fight Nightcrawler, and Colossus will battle The Thing.
As we reported, Earth-616 will come face-to-face with the Earth-10005 X-Men Universe during the Incursions. “X-Men or Avengers will not kill each other this time around, at least not intentionally. Any deaths may result from the consequences of their actions, but not directly.”
In an interview with THR, Simu Liu opened up about meeting Ian McKellen on the set of Avengers: Doomsday. Liu said, “It was like, ‘That’s Sir Ian McKellen, and he’s wearing his [Magneto] costume.’ It was such a wonderful way to meet someone you admire so much — and to get to play in the sandbox.”
In Avengers: Doomsday, the MCU begins the beginning of the end. As the multiverse nears total collapse, the Avengers assemble to face their greatest challenge yet—incursions, catastrophic collisions between realities that could destroy the entire multiverse. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes must race against time to save their reality while confronting the powerful figure behind it all—Victor Von Doom (Robert Downey Jr.).
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron. The film features cinematography by Newton Thomas Sigel (Bohemian Rhapsody, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and production design by Kasra Farahani.
