Marvel President Kevin Feige is not aware of internet theories and plot leaks about MCU movies, as he intentionally avoids reading online discussions about Marvel projects.
Feige shared these comments during a rare public conversation at the dedication of the Kevin Feige Division of Film & Television Production at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, where he spoke alongside Ryan Coogler and Shawn Levy.
According to Feige, there are endless fan theories across YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, and other platforms. He warns that diving too deeply into internet discourse can “drive you crazy.”

Feige said, “The volume of what is being said online, if you focus too closely on it, will crush you,” adding, “There are hours and hours of theories on YouTube, hours and hours on TikTok, hours on subreddits… You can read everything on everything and get a different point of view on it. You can go crazy. So, we don’t do that.”
Marvel uses test screenings in theaters to see how audiences react before a movie is finished. Feige compared it to students showing their films to classmates for feedback. The difference is that Marvel has already spent around $200 million on the movie.
“It happens when you’ve already spent almost $200 million on a movie and you screen it for people and they’re like, ‘What was that?’”
The upcoming Marvel movies are major projects in Phase Six of the MCU and include titles fans have been waiting for. Spider-Man: Brand New Day releases July 31, 2026, followed by Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
