Peacock is reportedly developing four different shows set within the Fast & Furious universe.
The announcement was made by Vin Diesel during the NBCUniversal Upfront presentation in New York. Diesel said fans have wanted the franchise to expand into television for over a decade. “Peacock is launching four shows from the Fast & Furious universe.”
For now, no official titles, release dates, or plot details for the shows have been revealed. Diesel assured fans that the television series would respect the franchise’s legacy.

Diesel said, “For the last decade, we have realized that the fans have wanted more.” Diesel added, “They wanted us to expand the legacy characters and their stories. And for the last decade, the desire has been for us to enter the TV space that Fallon has mastered. And I had to wait until it was right – it became right when Donna Langley started to oversee it all, because that’s when I knew that the integrity of the characters, the international appeal, and what makes us all feel like family would be protected in the TV space. The news that I have here today is this – Peacock is launching four shows from the ‘Fast and Furious’ universe.”
Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman have been tapped as co-showrunners and executive producers for the project, in addition to penning the pilot episode. Vin Diesel, Sam Vincent, Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Chris Morgan also serve as executive producers. The show will be produced by Universal Television.
If the Peacock series moves forward, it won’t be the franchise’s first television adaptation. Netflix previously aired the animated series Fast & Furious Spy Racers for six seasons from 2019 to 2021.
The Fast & Furious franchise currently consists of 11 films, with Fast Forever scheduled to hit theaters in 2028. Together, the movies have grossed more than $7 billion worldwide. The original The Fast and the Furious was released by Universal Pictures in 2001 and will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a midnight screening at the Cannes Film Festival on May 13.
The upcoming installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, currently titled Fast Forever, is scheduled to hit theaters on March 17, 2028.
