Note: This article contains potential spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The newly leaked images from Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, featured in Empire magazine, reveal Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker alongside Professor Mark Ruffalo‘s Bruce Banner, as well as a new look at Jon Bernthal returning as The Punisher.

Bernthal says Frank Castle finds perfect peace in absolute darkness in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
“He’s not looking for a buddy. He’s not looking for a friend. He’s not looking for a hand to pull him out of the hole he’s in. He’s fine living there. All he wants to do is dig deeper.”

A set of previously unreleased images recently surfaced online, also providing a fresh look at Michael Mando‘s Scorpion attacking a member of the Department of Damage Control (DODC), along with new images of Spider-Man and Tramell Tillman‘s William Metzger, who is reportedly connected to the DODC.

In a recent interview with Empire, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the first MCU film “focused on the classic elements of Spider-Man.”
“He’s doing the Spidey thing of living in a rather sad, small apartment, listening to the police scanner, and going out and using his great power responsibly.”
Director Destin Daniel Cretton said, “[Peter] is dedicating his entire existence to his job. That’s the core theme that I find incredibly relatable.”
He added, “I think most people, at certain points in their lives, have gone through loss. At least for me—and, I think, for many people—the result can be, ‘Screw it. I’m just going to work. I’m going to do nothing else but work.’ That’s obviously not the healthiest state to be in.”
Here’s the new synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
