Robert Pattinson‘s Caped Crusader is returning in Matt Reeves‘ The Batman sequel after a long wait and an extended pre-production period. Filming has finally begun in London.
As production moves forward, the movie’s official social media accounts shared the logo for The Batman: Part II. It features red lettering with Batman’s iconic bat symbol in the middle, along with the DC Studios logo at the top. See it below.

On Threads, Jeffrey Wright confirmed that cameras are rolling for his return in The Batman: Part II. The actor, who plays Jim Gordon, posted a close-up photo and wrote, “It begins again. You know what time it is.” See the image below.

In a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Colin Farrell praised the script for The Batman: Part II, calling it “amazing” and “extraordinary.”
Farrell said, “I’ve only got a couple of scenes, but the script is amazing, which is great that I only have a couple of scenes because it means the film isn’t ruined for me. I can watch it now as an audience member… It’s extraordinary… It’s really, really good.”

Farrell was asked whether there is more than one villain in The Batman: Part II.
“That I can’t say. That’s when I get fired. So I’ll just say [the script] is really, really good.”
The sequel faced several cancellation rumors, but James Gunn repeatedly denied them on social media, confirming that Matt Reeves’ Batman universe is safe under DC Studios’ Elseworlds label.
Gunn also revealed that he briefly considered having Robert Pattinson’s Batman join the DCU alongside David Corenswet’s Superman. In the end, he decided to keep both the DCU and Elseworlds as separate storytelling paths.
According to Jeff Sneider, The Batman: Part II will reportedly feature Sebastian Stan as a scarred and tattooed Victor Zsasz, Brian Tyree Henry as Harvey Dent/Two-Face, the Court of Owls, and Scarlett Johansson and Charles Dance in original characters inspired by multiple Batman characters.

The Batman: Part II reunites director Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin for the sequel to The Batman and The Penguin. The first movie followed a younger Bruce Wayne caught in a noir-style mystery involving the Riddler and Gotham’s corrupt elite. It went on to gross $772 million worldwide during its theatrical run.
The Batman: Part II will hit theaters on October 1, 2027, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
