Sneider further reports that the Court of Owls will be involved in The Batman: Part II. The group is an ancient secret society made up of some of Gotham City’s oldest and wealthiest families, who have controlled the city from the shadows for centuries.

According to Sneider, Scarlett Johansson and Charles Dance reportedly aren’t playing major names from the Batman universe in The Batman: Part II. Instead, they are said to portray characters who are more of a “meld” of different characters.

Sneider added:

“One of my sources told me that The Batman: Part II script features ‘some weird and interesting takes,’ while another one said that Reeves’ use of Zsasz as the villain ‘fits in with everyone telling me the movie is fucking crazy.'”

In a recent interview with GQ, Robert Pattinson said he will be filming The Batman: Part II for 11 weeks of night shoots.

Pattinson said, “I just heard from the stunt guy the other day. He said, ‘Ooh, 11 weeks of nights.’ I’m like, ‘Excuse me?’ I’m like, ‘No one’s even sent me a schedule.'”

Here’s the reported full cast for The Batman: Part II:

  • Robert Pattinson as Batman
  • Sebastian Stan as Victor Zsasz
  • Scarlett Johansson as Gilda Dent
  • Charles Dance as Christopher Dent
  • Sebastian Koch as TBA
  • Brian Tyree Henry as Harvey Dent
  • Andy Serkis as Alfred
  • Colin Farrell as The Penguin
  • Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon
  • Jayme Lawson as Mayor Bella Reál
  • Gil Perez-Abraham as Officer Martinez

The plot remains a mystery, though the sequel is confirmed to include a snowy winter setting. Matt Reeves revealed that The Batman: Part II will place a stronger focus on Bruce Wayne, explaining that the first film was much more centered on Batman himself, saying, “The first is so focused on Batman.”

The Batman: Part II reunites director Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin for the sequel to The Batman and The Penguin. The first movie followed a younger Bruce Wayne caught in a noir-style mystery involving the Riddler and Gotham’s corrupt elite. It went on to gross $772 million worldwide during its theatrical run.

The Batman: Part II will hit theaters on October 1, 2027, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
