Hugh Jackman‘s The Death of Robin Hood has received an official VOD release date. Fans will be able to buy or rent the film on digital HD platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies, from July 21, 2026.
The Death of Robin Hood stars Jackman as the legendary outlaw in a dark reimagining of the 17th-century ballad Robin Hood’s Death. The film is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski. “Gravely injured, pursued by enemies old and new, an aged Robin Hood is nursed back to health by the prioress of a secluded community. He is greatly troubled by and weary of his long history of murder and crime.“
Synopsis: Grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, Robin Hood finds himself gravely injured after a battle he thought would be his last. In the hands of a mysterious woman, he is offered a chance at salvation.
In the film, Jackman stars as Robin Hood, Jodie Comer as Sister Brigid, Bill Skarsgård as Little John, Murray Bartlett as the Leper, Noah Jupe as Arthur/Godwyn, Faith Delaney as Little Margaret, and Jade Croot as Wainwright.
The Death of Robin Hood was released in U.S. theaters on June 19, 2026, by A24.
