The VOD release date for Toy Story 5 has been revealed. The film will be available to buy or rent on Digital HD platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies, starting August 18, 2026.
Directed by Andrew Stanton and written by Stanton and Kenna Harris, Toy Story 5 continues the beloved Pixar franchise as the fifth main installment. Taking place two years after Toy Story 4, the story follows Jessie, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the other toys as they compete with Bonnie’s new favorite plaything, a tablet called Lilypad.
The film has earned a 92% critics’ score and a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, a 7.6/10 rating on IMDb, and debuted with an A CinemaScore.
Synopsis: About three years after reuniting with Bo Peep, Woody returns to Bonnie’s room to help Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the gang deal with a new threat to their playtime—technology.
