Robert Downey Jr. is returning as Iron Man for the Avengers: Infinity Defense ride. Avengers Campus at Disneyland is undergoing a major expansion that will double its size, with Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab currently under construction.

Below, you can see the first-look teaser for the Avengers: Infinity Defense ride. Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye will all reprise their roles.
“Disney’s Stark Flight Lab at Disney California Adventure will feature Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Mackie as Captain America, and Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. The ride will place guests inside two-person gyro-kinetic pods attached to a giant robot arm, creating a simulated flight experience inspired by the Avengers.”

According to the Disney Parks Blog: “Once on board, you will be surrounded by massive physical sets blending seamlessly with huge media scenes, putting you into the middle of the action as you feel like you’re hurtling across many worlds. The fun part about Avengers: Infinity Defense is how we get to use every single trick in the Imagineering book – and inventing some new ones – to create this attraction. You’ll travel to iconic locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City, next to heroes you’ve come to know and love, while (spoiler alert!) coming face to face with King Thanos himself.”
This is a big weekend for Marvel fans. At Disney’s D23 event, Marvel Studios took the spotlight. The special footage for Avengers: Doomsday was released, along with the X-Men cast and release date, and Marvel Television’s VisionQuest series debut trailer.
