The first plot details for Godzilla X Kong: Supernova have reportedly been revealed through a listing on the German cinema website Kinorama Unna. The aftermath of The New Empire leads to another worldwide crisis, where scientists begin detecting mysterious deep pulses and rhythmic signals from locations around the world.
Here’s the synopsis for Godzilla x Kong: Supernova:
Following the events of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the world is shaken once again: a deep, rhythmic signal appears in various regions, seemingly emanating from places long considered legendary.
As the first clues emerge, Godzilla and Kong find themselves in a perilous situation. Their powers pull them in different directions, but it soon becomes clear that the signal is not only awakening Titans but also disrupting a larger order.
While Godzilla follows the clues in nature and Kong searches for answers in the ruins, teams of scientists and field researchers attempt to decipher the signal’s origin.

In a recent test screening report, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova is said to be a more “serious” film than the previous installment. The film’s tone and style have reportedly been compared to a blend of Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong.
In a recent interview with Harper’s BAZAAR Australia, Alycia Debnam-Carey was asked whether she could reveal anything about Godzilla x Kong: Supernova.
She replied, “Haha, literally nothing… those NDAs are watertight, baby! But it’s gonna be big, I’ll say that much.”
Directed by Grant Sputore, with a screenplay by David Callaham and Michael Lloyd Green. It continues the story of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024) and stands as the sixth MonsterVerse film, the 40th Godzilla movie, and the 14th King Kong installment.
The film stars Kaitlyn Dever, Dan Stevens as Trapper, Jack O’Connell, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Delroy Lindo as a Monarch boss, Matthew Modine as a general, Sam Neill, Josh Thomson as Ledon, Bronte Pearce as EDN Tech Gardner, and Sami Afuni as Lieutenant Payne.
Produced by Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.
Godzilla x Kong: Supernova is scheduled to hit theaters in the United States on March 26, 2027, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
