The first teaser for Mike Flanagan’s The Exorcist: Martyrs, starring Scarlett Johansson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sasha Calle, and John Leguizamo, has been released.
The 15-second teaser contains spoilers, revealing that Scarlett Johansson plays an NYPD detective who captures “Father Sunday.” However, his execution goes wrong, and the murders continue.
The full official trailer will be released on October 9, 2026 (Friday).
The film follows a single-mother police officer (Scarlett Johansson) who, 13 years after taking down a notorious satanic serial killer (John Leguizamo), investigates a new series of murders connected to her past. Meanwhile, her 12-year-old son (Jacobi Jupe) becomes the target of a terrifying demonic force.
Produced by David Robinson, Jason Blum, and Flanagan, with Alexandra Magistro and Ryan Turek serving as executive producers. The film is a production of Blumhouse, Atomic Monster, and Morgan Creek Entertainment, in association with Flanagan’s Red Room Pictures.
The Exorcist: Martyrs will hit theaters on March 12, 2027, by Universal Pictures.
