The test screening of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was described as “potentially one of the worst DCEU movies.” The film will be released in theaters on December 25, 2023, and it should be fixed as soon as possible.
According to a Twitter user (@ViewerAnon), Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom had almost six test screenings, but the film still did not look great. The source said, “I’ve consistently heard over the last half year or so that it’s boring, not as good as the first, and potentially one of the worst DCEU movies.”
Also, @bigscreenleaks tweets, “I heard that something that almost never happens in test screenings happened with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. They’re really going to need to fix this one and fix it fast.”
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is directed by James Wan. The first film grossed $1.149 billion worldwide, making it one of the most successful DCEU films. However, in the sequel, Wan tried something new that didn’t work for the film.
The film stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry / Aquaman alongside Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, and Nicole Kidman.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will hit theaters on December 25, 2023.
