Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
In Avengers: Doomsday, Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor Von Doom is a fearsome, mysterious, and enigmatic monarch of Latveria. Doom’s origin is in the Earth-828 (Fantastic Four) universe, where a failed experiment goes wrong, causing him to lose his family and become severely injured. Behind his impenetrable mask, he is a master of both sorcery and technology.
At New York Comic Con, Marvel has set up Doctor Doom’s lab, featuring his collection of MCU artifacts.

In the images and footage from Doctor Doom’s lab below, we can see a symbiote sample, Silver Surfer’s split board, Ultron’s head, and Thanos’s broken helmet. “He’s not building an army. He’s collecting the powerful artifacts from the multiverse.”

Doom will wear three different costumes in Avengers: Doomsday, with each one appearing in a different act of the film. Three different Doctor Doom masks have also been placed in his lab. Check them out below.

Joe Russo Reveals Doctor Doom’s Biggest Strength in Avengers: Doomsday

In a recent interview with Fandango, director Joe Russo said that Doom is a genius who studies his enemies and understands their strengths and weaknesses. His magic is also ancient.
Joe said, “He studies his foes. He understands them, and he’s also well-planned. He’s not somebody who just does something off the cuff.”
He added, “Doom’s magic is ancient. He is a very powerful character, as you can see in the trailer, and he’s a genius. He studies his foes. He understands them, and he’s also well-planned. He’s not somebody who just does something off the cuff. So, everything is meticulous with him, and he knows that if he’s going to step onto a battlefield against somebody, he has to have the tactical advantage or a power advantage against that person. So, he’s very difficult to beat.”
Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Michael Waldron, Stephen McFeely, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers.
