The anticipation for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is bigger than for any movie in recent times. This is reflected in the film’s ticket sales, as it has already reached $50 million in domestic advance ticket sales. That is historic for a film that is still three months away from its release. Disney confirmed that more than 70% of those presales are for Infinity Vision tickets.
According to a few new updates from Alex Perez (via The Cosmic Circus), some major spoilers for Avengers: Doomsday have been revealed.
Alex says, “Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards are in the movie, although an image from the scene has already leaked.”
Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm will be in a difficult position in Avengers: Doomsday. She’ll have to sympathize with her friend, Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor von Doom, while also protecting her family. She’s one of the few characters with a personal relationship with Doom, giving her a unique understanding of his motives.
The recent additional photography for Avengers: Doomsday has added another action sequence for Anthony Mackie‘s Captain America, featuring the Elizabeth Olsen‘s Scarlet Witch.
The scooper said the Champions project is coming and teased that VisionQuest will provide clues involving Vision. He also said Billy Maximoff will have a chance to shine in Avengers: Secret Wars. Also, the Champions lineup will include characters who were not part of last year’s leaked concept art. Alex says he heard discussions about turning Champions and/or Strange Academy into movies.
Also, Perez said a third Captain Marvel movie could happen after Avengers: Secret Wars if Carol Danvers survives.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
