This year’s CinemaCon was a big day for MCU fans, as the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday was screened, featuring the first look at Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom.
Director Joe Russo said Doctor Doom is better than Thanos, stating, “Victor Von Doom is the greatest Marvel villain of all time. Yes, he is greater than Thanos.”
In the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, Thor attacks Doctor Doom with Stormbreaker, but Doom stops it with just one hand. In another scene, Namor parts the ocean like Moses.

- Professor X watches an incursion.
- Mystique transforms into Yelena Belova.
- The Fantastic Four meet the MCU heroes.
- Doctor Doom has an accent, and his face appears scarred.
We see a new and improved Avengers Tower with a red “A” logo, where the Fantastic Four meet Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Sam Wilson / Captain America (Anthony Mackie), and Scott Lang / Ant-Man (Paul Rudd).

The film is produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz, with Callum McDougall serving as executive producer.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters across the United States on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027.
At CinemaCon, Disney announced Infinity Vision, a new certification for premium large-format theaters featuring giant screens, laser projection, and immersive audio.
The program will launch with a re-release of Avengers: Endgame, followed by Avengers: Doomsday.
