Ayo Edebiri Directs "Napkins," the Sixth Episode of 'The Bear' Season 3

Ayo Edebiri has taken her next step apart from her acting career by directing the sixth episode of Hulu’s critically acclaimed series ‘The Bear‘ Season 3, titled “Napkins.”

Recently, Edebiri revealed the news in a Vogue profile: “The first time I met Chris [Storer], I was 21, and he was like, ‘You’re a director.’ I was like, ‘Mind your business, bro,'” she said. “But then last season, he said, ‘Come to set, just come to set, see what happens.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, OK. Yeah. I think I want to do this.'”

Season 3 of ‘The Bear’ consists of 10 episodes, all premiering on June 27, 2024, on Hulu. The show’s creator, Christopher Storer, directed episodes 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, and 10. Duccio Fabbri directed episode 3, Edebiri directed episode 6, and Joanna Calo directed episode 7. (Watch the trailer)

In Season 3, Jeremy Allen White will reprise his role as Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richard ‘Richie’ Jerimovich, Edebiri as Sydney Adamu, Lionel Boyce as Marcus, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina, Abby Elliott as Natalie ‘Sugar’ Berzatto, Edwin Lee Gibson as Ebraheim, Matty Matheson as Neil Fak, Oliver Platt as Jimmy Cicero, and Gordon as Claire. Also, Will Poulter, who appeared as Luca in Season 2 will return in Season 3.

Deadline confirmed that ‘The Bear’ has been renewed for Season 4 and will be filmed back-to-back in Chicago. Additionally, Season 5 of ‘The Bear’ remains a possibility.

‘The Bear’ Season 3 will premiere on June 27th on Hulu.
