The first look poster and release date for ‘Beetlejuice 2,’ titled ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,’ are revealed. The sequel plays on the rule: say his name three times, and the bio-exorcist appears, whether you like it or not.
The poster shows two hands holding a long slip of paper with the movie’s release date and the line, “The wait is almost over.” It’s a callback to the Netherworld waiting room where souls take a number. Check it out below.
Directed by Tim Burton, ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ is the sequel to the 1988 film ‘Beetlejuice.’ The screenplay is by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, based on a story by Seth Grahame-Smith.
The film stars Michael Keaton as Betelgeuse, Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz, Jenna Ortega as Astrid Deetz (Lydia’s daughter), Monica Bellucci as Betelgeuse’s wife, Willem Dafoe as a ghost detective and former B-movie action star in life. Additionally, Justin Theroux, Arthur Conti, and Burn Gorman are part of the ensemble. (See the set images)
