Note: This post contains spoilers for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
A new synopsis for Mark Ruffalo‘s Hulk from Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been revealed through a product listing on France Figurines.
The synopsis reveals that the storyline of Brand New Day follows both Bruce Banner and Peter Parker as they deal with uncontrollable transformations.
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Bruce Banner has been using an inhibitor to remain in his human form. However, the inhibitor fails, leading to the return of the wild, feral Hulk — a massive departure from the “Smart Hulk” seen in recent years.
Bruce Banner Loses Control Again in Spider-Man: Brand New Day

In Spider-Man: Brand New Day , Bruce Banner uses an inhibitor that keeps him in human form since the events of Endgame . But this constraint has its limits: the film marks the return of the Hulk in his feral form, a departure from the Smart Hulk of previous films. Banner and Peter Parker, both grappling with an uncontrollable transformation, find themselves in a narrative parallel at the heart of the film.
A new piece of merchandise for Spider-Man: Brand New Day reveals that Peter Parker uses special “anti-gamma webs” during his battle with Savage Hulk. There are also rumors that Hulk transforms into his savage form after being manipulated by Sadie Sink’s character.
Here’s the new synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
