Carey Mulligan is set to reunite with director Emerald Fennell in her upcoming thriller film ‘Saltburn’ starring Rosamund Pike, Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, and Alison Oliver. Mulligan previously worked on Emerald Fennell’s Promising Young Woman.
The film is described as a story of obsession, it follows a grand, aristocratic English family. In a statement Amazon Studios Jennifer Salke and Julie Rapaport said, “From the second we read ‘Saltburn,’ we were completely hooked. Emerald is a triple threat filmmaker—she is really one-of-a-kind.” they added, “We are thrilled to be working with the incredible teams at MRC and LuckyChap to bring Emerald’s vision to life and to bring the film to millions of people around the world.”
Carey Mulligan’s Role In ‘Saltburn’
According to reports, Mulligan only has 2-3 scenes in ‘Saltburn’ and is “shocking,” campy,” and “unrecognizable.” Her character is said to be comic relief.
Directed by Emerald Fennell. The film also stars Archie Madekwe, Richard E. Grant, Paul Rhys, Reece Shearsmith, Isabella de Ferrars, Ewan Mitchell, and Sadie Soverall.
Fennell, Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, and Margot Robbie are producing. The film is distributed by Amazon Studios, and United Artists Releasing.
