A24 released the first trailer for Celine Song‘s rom-com Materialists, starring Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans, in the story of a matchmaker, her perfect match, and an ex-boyfriend. Watch the trailer below.
Here are the plot details for Materialists:
Set against the vibrant backdrop of New York City, Materialists follows a high-end matchmaker (Johnson) who becomes involved with a wealthy businessman (Pascal) while still harboring feelings for the ex-boyfriend (Evans) she left behind.
The rom-com is written and directed by Song, previously acclaimed for her breakout directorial debut ‘Past Lives‘. The film has been rated R for language and brief sexual material.
The film stars Johnson as Lucy, Chris Evans as John, and Pedro Pascal as Randy, along with Zoë Winters, Marin Ireland, Dasha Nekrasova, Louisa Jacobson, Sawyer Spielberg, and Eddie Cahill.
