Chris Evans’ role as Steve Rogers is not going to end with Avengers: Doomsday; he is also confirmed to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars.
According to Comicconmomsi on Instagram, her husband received a personalized video from Chris Evans as an anniversary gift. In a video shared by the user, Evans confirms he will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, with filming set to begin in a couple of months.
Evans said, “Secrets, I can’t give you any Avengers secrets. What can I give you, though? Um, I start work on the next one in a couple of months—I’m in the next one.”

Production on Avengers: Secret Wars is set to officially begin in August 2026.
Speaking to Empire Magazine, Anthony Russo revealed Steve Rogers’ character importance in Doomsday, saying they “can’t see this narrative without his central role.”
Anthony Russo said, “We have a special affinity with the character.” He added, “We can’t see this narrative without his central role in it, basically. The special place he holds among the ensemble, he sort of retains that moving forward.”
There are rumors that Avengers: Secret Wars will take place eight years after the events of Avengers: Doomsday. All timelines and universes converge in the Void, creating Battleworld.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters in the United States on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027.
