The first two episodes of ‘Citadel‘ starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden, and Stanley Tucci are now streaming on Prime Video. The action-packed spy series is led by Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Citadel agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh.
What Is Citadel Series About?
Citadel was an independent intelligence agency with no allegiance to any government on the planet and a commitment to the protection and security of all people worldwide. It was demolished eight years before the series begins by a strong syndicate known as Manticore (and a disloyal operative, as the teaser reveals). At the time of the Citadel’s demise, two agents received mindwipes and assumed new identities, ostensibly safe from further Manticore activity. But when one of those former operatives, Mason Kane (Richard Madden), runs into an old Citadel associate, he agrees to help Manticore achieve its goal of global control. To be successful, he must also revive another Citadel agent, Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas). The duo must then search the world for the syndicate while putting together who they were as Citadel agents and dealing.

Is Citadel Worth Watching?
As per the IndieWire review, Citadel is entertaining only because it is so throwaway. The series is better suited to piling extreme antics on top of extreme shenanigans. The grade they provided for the series was “C.”
