Warning: This post contains spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day still has an unknown main villain yet to be revealed. Although several villains, including Scorpion, Boomerang, Ramrod, and Tombstone, are appearing in the film, there is reportedly another secret villain whose identity has not yet been revealed.
During the Spider-Man: Brand New Day photocall in Berlin, Tom Holland revealed that the main villain in Spider-Man: Brand New Day has not been revealed yet. “It’s still very much a secret,” he said. He added, “It’s unlike anything we’ve seen in one of these movies before.”

According to our source, an “evil spirit” has been part of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day rumors since May. Following Holland’s latest interview, the source once again claimed that this mysterious figure is the movie’s still-unrevealed main villain.
Is The Jackal Secretly the Main Villain in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
In a recent leak, it is reported that the main villain in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is Carrion/The Jackal.

The Jackal has created a genetic virus that makes those infected susceptible to mind control and possession. The virus can jump between the bodies of anyone infected. His goal is to completely merge with a powerful host body, as his own body is dying. He wants to save himself while also becoming much more powerful.
Holland says the action in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is “absolutely next level.”
“The movie is unique within the superhero genre. It has an amount of heart that is kind of rare for movies like this. It feels like a really complete experience, and that experience is best served in the cinema.”
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Here are the plot details for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he has devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters in RealD 3D, D-BOX, Cinemark XD, 4DX, ScreenX, and Dolby Cinema on July 31, 2026. Ticket sales are now live.
