One of my main goals for Terrifier 3 is to recapture the creep factor present in the original Terrifier short film. That had a genuinely spooky atmosphere that I’m still proud of. If all goes as planned, part 3 will be the scariest Terrifier thus far #terrifier3 #creepy

“Terrifier 2” came out in 2022. With a $250,000 budget, the film grossed $12 million worldwide. The sequel features the return of David Howard Thornton and Samantha Scaffidi, who played Art the Clown and Victoria Heyes in the original film.
Damien Leone created Art the Clown, a character based on the Terrifier franchise. The character originally appears in Leone’s “The 9th Circle” (2008) and then as the main antagonist in “Terrifier”(2016) and “Terrifier 2” (2012).
Leone revealed to Variety in October 2022 that “Terrific 3” is already in the early stages of development. He said, “I had high expectations for this film and Art the Clown for quite some time, honestly. I created this character back in 2006. Once I made my second short film with him, I really believed I had something special, so I’ve been working so hard to get it to this point.”
Leone continues, “I did not expect it to make this kind of splash or play in theaters, honestly, other than maybe a few arthouse theaters. To see it snowballing, the word of mouth growing, people getting sick and fainting and it really taking off, I never expected this or for it to make millions of dollars in theaters.”
“Terrifier 2” is now streaming on Prime Video.
