Warning: This article contains major spoilers for the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale.
The Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale has come to an end, and it featured one of the series’ most violent sequences yet. Vincent D’Onofrio‘s Kingpin loses control and attacks Daredevil’s supporters.
After Kingpin crushed Phil Gallo’s skull in Season 1, many thought the series could not get more brutal. However, Season 2’s finale may have topped it.
Why does Wilson Fisk lose control in the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale?

After Matt Murdock reveals Fisk’s crimes in court, Wilson Fisk begins losing control. The courthouse is surrounded by angry protestors, and Fisk is told to leave the city forever. The pressure and humiliation push him into a violent rage.
So what’s next for Kingpin? We are going to see a major transformation for the character in Season 3. In a recent set image, Vincent D’Onofrio was spotted with a new look, featuring a white beard that gives him a Santa Claus-like appearance while standing on a New York City street.

Vincent D’Onofrio recently spoke to CBR about what makes telling Wilson Fisk’s long-term story so rewarding.
D’Onofrio said, “It really depends on the scripts, what direction they take the character in, and what direction they dictate. You get more comfortable in the skin, which I think is the obvious answer.”
He added, “But you still have to be inspired by the words, inspired by your acting partners, inspired by the tone the show is heading in, and how everything else works. You’re still looking for inspiration.”
Here’s the official plot synopsis for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2:
