The Video on Demand (VOD) release date for DC’s ‘Blue Beetle‘ has been revealed. The film will be available for purchase or rent on digital HD platforms including Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV on September 26, 2023. The DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K UHD versions are scheduled for release in October 2023.
‘Blue Beetle’ is set to premiere on Max on October 24, 2023.
Warner Bros. Discovery movies usually come to Max around two months after theaters. But for DC films after 2022, they’ll be released 70 days after theaters to stream on Max. This change started with ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ and ‘The Flash’.
Directed by Angel Manuel Soto, and stars Xolo Maridueña as Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle, Bruna Marquezine as Jenny Kord, Belissa Escobedo as Milagros Reyes, Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord, and Raoul Trujillo as Conrad Carapax/The Indestructible Man.

Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero Blue Beetle.
‘Blue Beetle’ is fantastic, with impressive visuals, lively Latino music, thrilling action, and humorous moments. Every scene is well-executed, particularly the Blue Beetle suit transformation.
