The first teaser trailer details for DC’s Supergirl has leaked online ahead of the official release in a few days. We already reported that the trailer is set to launch on Saturday, December 6, 2025, during Warner Bros.’ CCXP panel at the São Paulo Expo in Brazil.
On X, user Universo DCnautas, who previously leaked the Superman trailer before its release, has shared the description of the Supergirl teaser trailer.
Here’s the Supergirl trailer description (via The Beyond Reporter):
Fun, rebellious, and action packed. Music: Featuring a track by Blondie.

The teaser opens with a surprisingly grounded and comedic beat: we see Krypto the Superdog casually lifting his leg to pee on a space rock. The next scene cuts to Kara, a.k.a. Supergirl (Milly Alcock), who is waking up looking disheveled, groggy, and clearly in a massive hangover.
Following that, the iconic sound of Blondie kicks in. The trailer shows a fast-paced montage of stylized action. We see Kara blasting through cosmic environments, delivering brutal punches to alien threats, and flying. The vibe is very different from Superman; it is grittier, louder, and more colorful.
Directed by Craig Gillespie, from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira and based on the comic by Tom King and Evely, the film will serve as the second entry in the DC Universe and the fourth installment of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
While celebrating her 21st birthday, Kara Zor-El (Alcock), feeling lost and purposeless, travels across the galaxy with her dog Krypto. Along the way, she meets Ruthye Marye Knoll (Eve Ridley), a young alien girl seeking revenge on the warlord Krem (Matthias Schoenaerts), who killed her father. Their journey takes Kara to a planet with a red sun, stripping her of her powers and forcing her to discover what it truly means to be a hero without her superhuman abilities.
The film stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, Jason Momoa making a cameo appearance as Lobo, and Ferdinand Kingsley cast as Elias Knoll, Ruthye’s father.
James Gunn and Peter Safran are producing the film, with DC EVP Chantal Nong serving as the executive producer.
Supergirl will hit theaters in the United States on June 26, 2026, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
