Debra Jo Rupp, who plays Sharon Davis in Marvel’s ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos‘, revealed that the season will be like a second season of ‘WandaVision‘. She expressed surprise and excitement when she received the call, as she thought her role would end after the first season. Rupp is thrilled to play a new and fun character in the upcoming season.

Speaking to Berkshire Magazine, Jo Rupp said, “It’s the second season of Wandavision for Marvel. It’s very much like American Horror Story, where each season is a whole new kind of thing. I was shocked when they called me, because I really thought that would be it, and I was fine with that. But when they called, I got so excited because it’s a character I never get to play. She’s going to be great fun.” She added, “I am basically the same person that I was in Wandavision, Mrs. Hart, but in a different kind of thing. We’ve shot in LA, and I’m packing now as we speak to go to Atlanta for two months to continue shooting.“
The filming for the series started in January 2023 at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and concluded in June 2023. ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’ is a Disney+ show created by Jac Schaeffer. It is based on the Marvel Comics character Agatha Harkness and serves as a spin-off from the series WandaVision. The series is produced by Marvel Studios, with Schaeffer as the head writer and lead director.
The show focuses on the character Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn. Harkness is a witch from Salem, Massachusetts, who acquires dark magic from her own coven during the Salem witch trials. After 300 years, she came to know the chaos magic radiating from the Westview Anomaly created by Wanda Maximoff. According to the Illuminerdi, Agatha: Coven of Chaos will pick up where WandaVision leaves off in Westview. Agatha will be freed from Wanda’s spell by a new coven of witches. The Coven is pursuing Billy Maximoff, who is now a teenager in the series. See the set images.
The series also stars Emma Caulfield Ford as Sarah Proctor, Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, and Sasheer Zamata.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in 2024. It will consist of 9 episodes, with each episode having a runtime of 30 minutes.
