The upcoming Disney’s ‘Vision‘ series is making big waves. As THR recently reported, James Spader is returning to voice Ultron (last seen in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron), and Elizabeth Olsen may possibly return as Scarlet Witch.
How will the Vision series connect to the West Coast Avengers?
According to Daniel Richtman in his new Patreon post—the Vision series will feature elements from the West Coast Avengers comic book series. Ultron will play a major role in the series, rather than just making a cameo appearance.
There are also rumors that “Marvel is reportedly considering Javon Walton to portray a teen in the Vision series. It’s unclear whether he’ll play an older Tommy Shepherd (Speed) or Vision’s son, Vin.”
Terry Matalas joined the project to develop the show for Disney+. Paul Bettany will reprise his role as White Vision, with the series “taking place after the events of WandaVision as White Vision presumably explores his new purpose in life.” The series will come under the Marvel Television banner.
Previously, the show was titled ‘Vision Quest,’ which was developed under ‘WandaVision’ creator Jac Schaeffer. But, it has been dropped, and the reason is unknown yet. Schaeffer has developed a separate ‘WandaVision’ spinoff, ‘Agatha All Along,’ starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness. It is set to premiere on September 18, 2024, with two episodes on Disney+.
Filming is scheduled to begin in 2025, and’ Vision’ will premiere on Disney+ in 2026.
