Note: This post contains potential spoilers for Avengers: Doomsday.
The Void will play a major role in Avengers: Doomsday.
By the end of Doomsday, Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom will reportedly transform the Void into Battleworld, where everyone will obey and fear him, though a few will stand against his rule.
We have already reported that Avengers: Doomsday will feature a major final incursion, in which one group survives in the Quantum Realm while another escapes on a ship/raft across the ground of the Void (TVA) after Doctor Doom creates Battleworld.

There are rumors that Doctor Doom could weaponize Alioth from the Void in Avengers: Doomsday. He could use it as a living weapon to erase entire timelines that do not fit his vision of a “perfect multiverse.”
Alioth is capable of destroying realities permanently, and if Doom’s goal is to reset the multiverse rather than simply conquer it, Alioth would be the fastest and most devastating way to do so.
Why the Void and the Quantum Realm Become the Last Havens in Avengers: Doomsday?

The multiverse has been breaking since Doctor Strange, No Way Home, and Loki, with small tears turning into full-blown incursions that swallow entire worlds. Avengers: Doomsday does not begin with Doom fighting the Avengers. It begins with reality collapsing. Doom’s solution is simple and brutal: force the multiverse into a single, ordered system under his control.
Two places exist outside normal reality: the Quantum Realm, a hidden refuge, and the Void, where pruned timelines end up. When the final incursion hits, some survivors escape into the Quantum Realm, while others are left clinging to the Void.
Doom then turns the Void into Battleworld, binding its destructive forces like Alioth to erase unwanted timelines and keep only the ones he chooses. The final battle is not about brute strength, but about dismantling Doom’s control over reality itself, because if the heroes fail, the multiverse ends under Doom’s rule.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron. The film features cinematography by Newton Thomas Sigel (Bohemian Rhapsody, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and production design by Kasra Farahani.
