‘Love and Death‘ is a crime drama miniseries from HBO Max. Directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and written by David E. Kelley. The series is based on the true story of Wylie, Texas housewife Candy Montgomery’s brutal axe murder of her friend Betty Gore in 1980. Olsen plays the role of Candy Montgomery.
In the late 1970s, Candy and Betty’s husband were having an extra-marital affair, which their respective spouses weren’t aware of. On the day of Gore’s killing, her husband was out of town.
