‘Silent House‘ is a psychological horror film, starring Olsen as Sarah. The film follows, Sarah (Olsen) working with her father (Adam Trese) and uncle (Eric Sheffer Stevens) to renovate an old family home to prepare it for sale. Long vacant, the house has no utilities, forcing the trio to rely on battery-operated lanterns to light their way. Sarah becomes separated from her relatives and soon finds she is trapped inside the cabin, with no contact with the outside world. Panic turns to real terror as the young woman experiences events that become increasingly ominous.

Directed by Chris Kentis and Laura Lau. Silent House also stars Adam Trese as John, Eric Sheffer Stevens as Peter, Julia Taylor Ross as Sophia, Adam Barnett as Stalking Man, and Haley Murphy as Little Girl.

‘Red Lights‘ is a supernatural thriller, directed by Rodrigo Cortés. The centers on a physicist (Murphy) and a university psychology professor (Weaver), both of whom specialize in debunking supernatural phenomena, and their attempt at discrediting a renowned psychic (De Niro) whose greatest critic mysteriously died 30 years prior.

In the film, Olsen Plays the role of Sally Owen.

When the rival is found dead, Carr, William Burroughs, and Jack Kerouac are arrested for murder.

‘In Secret‘ is an erotic thriller romance film written and directed by Charlie Stratton. Based on Émile Zola’s classic 1867 novel Thérèse Raquin. The film stars Olsen as Thérèse Raquin, Tom Felton, Oscar Isaac, and Jessica Lange. The film follows, “A woman (Olsen) and her lover (Isaac) conspire to murder her mild-mannered husband (Felton), but overwhelming guilt soon turns their passion into hatred.”

Directed by Joss Whedon, the film features an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, Idris Elba, Stellan Skarsgård, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson.

In the film, Olsen plays the role of Wanda Maximoff: The twin sister of Pietro who can engage in hypnosis and telekinesis. Olsen felt Wanda was “overly stimulated” rather than “mentally insane” because “she has such a vast amount of knowledge that she’s unable to learn how to control it. No one taught her how to control it properly.

‘Wind River‘ is a neo-Western murder mystery starring Jeremy Renner and Olsen as a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service tracker and an FBI agent, respectively, who try to solve a murder on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. Directed by Taylor Sheridan.

In the film, Olsen plays the role of Jane Banner, a rookie FBI special agent. She recruits Lambert as her tracker.

Schaeffer served as head writer for the series, which was directed by Matt Shakman.

10. Love and Death (2023)

Love and Death

‘Love and Death‘ is a crime drama miniseries from HBO Max. Directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and written by David E. Kelley. The series is based on the true story of Wylie, Texas housewife Candy Montgomery’s brutal axe murder of her friend Betty Gore in 1980. Olsen plays the role of Candy Montgomery.

In the late 1970s, Candy and Betty’s husband were having an extra-marital affair, which their respective spouses weren’t aware of. On the day of Gore’s killing, her husband was out of town. He requested the neighbors to go and check on her, and after forcing their way into Betty’s home, they found her corpse, which was stabbed 41 times. Candy automatically becomes the prime suspect in this murder case since she was the last person to have seen Betty alive, as per her statement. When the trial for the murder continues, Candy accepts that she is responsible for murdering Betty.
