The first look at Emma Stone, unrecognizable with a shaved head, in Yorgos Lanthimos‘ Bugonia has been revealed. For those wondering about the movie, it is an English-language remake of the 2003 South Korean film Save the Green Planet! by Jang Joon-hwan. See the trailer and images below.

During the world premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, Lanthimos said, “When I first read the script, I was immediately blown away by its extremely entertaining and impactful story. Bugonia reflects on our present times: humanity is facing a reckoning, and we don’t have much time left. How are we denying it?”
Stone said, “The opportunity to work with Yorgos Lanthimos on Bugonia felt like a dream because of the material he brought to me—it’s funny, f****d up, and alive! It also feels so relevant to our times.”

In the black comedy, two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced she is an alien intent on destroying Earth.
Stone on working with Lanthimos across multiple films over the years: “I love working with Yorgos. I love the material he’s drawn to, the worlds he wants to explore, and the characters he’s been generous enough to let me portray.”
