Marvel’s upcoming Agatha series has undergone its third title change. It was originally named ‘House of Harkness,’ then ‘Coven of Chaos,’ and now ‘Darkhold Diaries.’ The series is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in early fall 2024, around Halloween 2024.
Aubrey Plaza, the series star, previously revealed the title ‘Darkhold Diaries’ on her Instagram stories, so this isn’t a recent update. Watch the clip below.
‘Agatha: Darkhold Diaries‘ is a Disney+ show created by Jac Schaeffer. It is based on the Marvel Comics character Agatha Harkness and serves as a spin-off from the series WandaVision. The series is produced by Marvel Studios, with Schaeffer as the head writer and lead director.
The show focuses on the character Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn. Harkness is a witch from Salem, Massachusetts, who acquires dark magic from her own coven during the Salem witch trials. After 300 years, she came to know the chaos magic radiating from the Westview Anomaly created by Wanda Maximoff. According to the Illuminerdi, Agatha: Coven of Chaos will pick up where WandaVision leaves off in Westview. Agatha will be freed from Wanda’s spell by a new coven of witches. The Coven is pursuing Billy Maximoff, who is now a teenager in the series. See the set images.
The series also stars Emma Caulfield Ford as Sarah Proctor, Joe Locke, Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, and Sasheer Zamata.
