Is It True That Ben Affleck’s Batman Scenes Were Cut From Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom?
According to a source, Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman scenes in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom were trimmed. The film received the worst rating during the six test screenings, which was the main reason for its removal. As a result, Affleck’s Batman will make his final appearance in The Flash, releasing on June 16, 2023.
Ben Affleck previously confirmed that his last appearance as Batman will be in DC’s The Flash. The first trailer for the film was released during the Super Bowl, and it shows Affleck’s Batman appearing in the film alongside Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton.
Is Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Rated Poorly?
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom had almost six test screenings, but the film still did not look great. The source said, “I’ve consistently heard over the last half year or so that it’s boring, not as good as the first, and potentially one of the worst DCEU movies.”

The film stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as David Kane/Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna.
