Cassie and Maddy are reunited again!
Sydney Sweeney and Alexa Demie were spotted together filming scenes for Euphoria Season 3 on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
In the images, Sweeney and Demie drove a retro car filled with suitcases as they cruised up and down the boulevard. Sweeney’s look included a blue-and-white checkered top and a butterfly necklace, perfectly capturing Cassie’s style, while Demie’s outfit featured a silk headscarf, oversized amber sunglasses, and a fur stole, giving Maddy a more grown-up, glamorous vibe.
During filming, Sweeney was spotted wearing a bridal look as Cassie, possibly hinting at her wedding day with Jacob Elordi’s character, Nate.
In an interview with People, Sweeney spoke about returning as Cassie in Season 3. Sweeney said, “I’m very excited to jump back into Cassie. She is definitely one of the most special characters for me, and I love my Euphoria family, so I look forward to it,” she told the outlet. “I love crazy Cassie, so the crazier, the better for me.”
Euphoria Season 3 centers on a series of past events resurfacing in the present — primarily connected to Cal Jacobs (Eric Dane) and long-unresolved loose ends. These revelations will intertwine with the introduction of new characters in the upcoming season. Maddy (Demie) now works a night job and is dating a wealthy businessman. Rue (Zendaya) tells the story — explaining what has happened to everyone since high school.
In Season 3, Zendaya (Dune, Challengers) returns as Rue Bennett. She is joined by Hunter Schafer as Jules, Dane as Cal, Elordi as Nate, and Sweeney as Cassie. Demie (Maddy), Maude Apatow (Lexi), and Martha Kelly (Laurie) also return, with Kelly now promoted to series regular. Chloe Cherry (Faye) has also been promoted to series regular. The new cast members joining Season 3 include GRAMMY winner Rosalía, Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, and Anna Van Patten.
Euphoria is a hit HBO series created, written, and directed by Sam Levinson. Starring Emmy winner Zendaya, the show is produced in partnership with A24. It has been nominated for 25 Emmy Awards and has won nine, including two Best Actress awards for Zendaya and one for Domingo as Best Guest Actor. Levinson also won a DGA Award for directing the Season 2 episode Stand Still Like the Hummingbird. Aside from its awards, Euphoria is one of the most-watched shows in HBO’s history.
