Finally, Ezra Miller appeared at the red carpet premiere of ‘The Flash‘ in Los Angeles on June 12, 2023. Miller appeared alongside Ezra Miller, Ben Affleck, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, James Gunn, Andy and Barbara Muschietti, Peter Safran, and Maribel Verdú on the carpet.
During the stage, Miller thanked ‘The Flash’ director Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, the Warner Bros. Pictures, and DC co-chairs Peter Safran and James Gunn for their “grace, discernment, and care,” as well as the cast. See the footage below.
Miller appeared as Flash in DC Universe film Justice League. Miller’s planned standalone film has been overshadowed by their personal troubles. These include arrests, accusations of grooming, involvement with child protective services, and concerning behavior. Miller has issued a single statement apologizing for his actions, citing mental health issues, while Warner Bros. Pictures has remained relatively silent. The studio’s strategy seems to be to weather the storm and rely on the film’s positive reception to deflect criticism surrounding Miller. According to Warner Bros. Pictures, ‘The Flash’ sequel script has already been completed.
The film is tracking to earn between $115 million–$140 million during its opening weekend at the domestic box office. The Flash, directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Christina Hodson, the plot is based on the comic book storyline “Flashpoint,” and follows: Worlds collide when the Flash uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation. With no other superheroes to turn to, the Flash looks to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian—albeit not the one he’s looking for. Read our review.
The film stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, alongside Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, Ben Affleck, and Michael Keaton.
Produced by DC Studios, Double Dream, and the Disco Factory, and set for distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures. The Flash hits theaters on June 16, 2023. See more red carpet images below.
