The first look at Giancarlo Esposito on the set of Marvel’s ‘Captain America: Brave New World‘ reshoots has been leaked. The image was shared by X user Christopher Oquendo, a photographer from Grantville, Georgia.
Is Giancarlo Esposito Playing General Reginald Fortean in Captain America: Brave New World?
Who do you think he’s playing? The new look at Esposito’s Marvel role is very similar to General Reginald Fortean. In Marvel Comics, General Reginald Fortean is known for his involvement with military operations concerning gamma-irradiated beings like the Hulk. He first appeared as a military officer determined to capture or neutralize the Hulk in “Incredible Hulk” vol. 4 #30.1 in 2011.
The InSneider reports that ‘Brave New World’ is currently undergoing its first round of reshoots, with more planned for later this year. “From what I’ve heard, it’s going to take a lot more than 22 days to fix everything that’s wrong with this movie.”
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Anthony Mackie describes ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ as ‘a clear reset’. Mackie said, “This movie is a clear reset. It really reestablishes the idea of what this universe is and what this universe is going to be.” Mackie added, “I think with these movies, you’re getting a clear, new branding of what Marvel is headed towards the same way they did with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”
Directed by Julius Onah from a screenplay by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton. The film stars Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres/Falcon, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/Leader, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph/Sabra, and Xosha Roquemore.
The film is produced by Kevin Feige, Nate Moore, and Malcolm Spellman.
‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is scheduled to hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
