The first look at a poster featuring Ralph Fiennes as President Snow from the set of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has been revealed.
On X, user PanemPropaganda.com shared images from the set in Landschaftspark, Duisburg, Germany. The photos feature a propaganda-style poster plastered on a Panem wall, showcasing a painting of Fiennes as “Our President Coriolanus Snow,” along with the motto: “Panem’s #1 Peacekeeper.” See the image below.

Sunrise on the Reaping is the fifth Hunger Games novel by Suzanne Collins — and a prequel to the main series — taking place 14 years before Katniss Everdeen volunteered as tribute. The new film’s plot follows Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada) — as he is reaped to be a tribute for District 12 during the 50th Hunger Games (also known as the Second Quarter Quell) — along with Maysilee Donner (Mckenna Grace), Wyatt Callow (Ben Wang), and Louella McCoy (Molly McCann). While the main Hunger Games novels shared bits of detail about what happened in Haymitch’s games, Sunrise on the Reaping retells the entire story — and how the Capitol has altered and edited events in order to continue the propaganda and lies that it feeds to its citizens.
The cast of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping includes Zada as Haymitch Abernathy, Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove Baird, Grace as Maysilee Donner, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Beetee Latier, Maya Hawke as Wiress, Lili Taylor as Mags Flanagan, Wang as Wyatt Callow, Fiennes as Coriolanus Snow, McCann as Louella McCoy, Iona Bell as Lou Lou, Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, Glenn Close as Drusilla Sickle, and Billy Porter as Magno Stift.
During the film’s announcement, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group’s Adam Fogelson said, “Suzanne Collins is a master storyteller and our creative north star. We couldn’t be more fortunate than to be guided and trusted by a collaborator whose talent and imagination are so consistently brilliant. We know Hunger Games fans worldwide will be spellbound by where Suzanne has focused this next extraordinary story.”
Suzanne Collins added, “The Second Quarter Quell is legendary and looms large over the history of the Games, even into the time of Katniss Everdeen a quarter-century later. Like fans around the globe, we are eagerly anticipating this exciting return to Panem. From the beginning, Lionsgate has been a wonderful home and partner for the Hunger Games franchise, and I’m very excited to be collaborating with Adam and the team as we bring this next story to theaters in 2026.”
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will hit theaters on November 20, 2026 by Lionsgate.
