Maya Hawke and Caleb McLaughlin were spotted at the Hawkins Memorial Hospital set of Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 in Madison, Georgia, on September 16, 2024. See the images below.
Hawke also brought her boyfriend, Christian Lee Hutson, to the set and seemed comfortable with him. Hawke plays the role of Robin Buckley, Steve’s co-worker at Scoops Ahoy.
Speaking on Podcrushed Episode 73, Hawke teased that ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 will have eight episodes and revealed that writing and filming each season takes a significant amount of time.
Recently, set images of Hawke’s Robin showed her driving Joyce’s (Winona Ryder) car, following an ambulance to Hawkins Memorial Hospital.
David Harbour Reveals Stranger Things Cast’s Emotional Read-Through of Series Finale
Speaking to ComicBook.com, David Harbour—who plays Jim Hopper on the show—said that the cast recently read through the script for the final episode of Season 5.
Harbour said, “Getting back to the OG crew of this final season has been wild in a way—because we have come so far and it is not the show that we started in Season 1.” Harbour added, “I think that’s a wild experience for all of us—I mean, those kids were 11 years old when we started, 12 years old. Now they’re 20 and they’re shaving and they aren’t kids anymore. Finn (Wolfhard) just directed a movie. I think to have it all come back full circle… We just did a read-through of the last episode, and the amount of crying… like, the episode is very beautiful. But there’s also a deeper level of that—this was actually their childhood. They were 11 years old and grew up and fought this monster. And I’ve never seen so much heavy, heavy weeping from teenagers or young adults in my life.”
Harbour continued, “There were some cameras there, but we didn’t do it for the publicists or the Instagram people. There was something intimate about the way they structured it, and I’m hoping that you don’t see very much of that—because there was something profound in the sense that we are a family. On a deeper level, it’s about us as individuals who’ve worked together for nine years since they were kids, and that really came through. There was a real, deep kind of honesty, heartbreak, and bittersweet quality to all of it.”
Ross Duffer, the co-creator of the show, has already confirmed that the final season will involve multiple time jumps. Therefore, it appears Vecna will seek his revenge across different timelines. Duffer said, “I’m sure we will do a time jump. Ideally, we’d have shot [Seasons 4 and 5] back to back, but there was just no feasible way to do that. Also, Matt Duffer confirms that ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 will be the final season, concluding the stories of Eleven, Dustin, Lucas, and Hopper.
Season 5 stars Ryder as Joyce Byers, Harbour as Jim Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven / Jane Hopper, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Schnapp as Will Byers, Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Hawke as Robin Buckley, Amybeth McNulty as Vickie, Priah Ferguson as Erica Sinclair, Brett Gelman as Murray Bauman, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna / Henry Creel / One, and Linda Hamilton.
Stranger Things Season 5 will premiere on Netflix in 2025.
