The filming for Fall 2 has wrapped in Thailand and is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2026. Following the wrap, the cast and plot details have been revealed.
Directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (Jigsaw, Predestination), with original Fall writer-director Scott Mann co-writing the script alongside Jonathan Frank. In the sequel, Harriet Slater (Outlander: Blood of My Blood) will star as Jax Hunter, Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) as Luce, Tom Brittney (Grantchester) in an undisclosed role, and Andrey Kasushkin as Smuggler.
Here are the plot details for Fall 2:
“Overwhelmed by her sister Hunter’s death, Jax (Slater) connects with Luce (Thomas), Hunter’s fearless friend. To heal, they attempt the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand. After a sudden rockslide leaves them stranded on a fragile plank 3,000 feet in the air, Jax must confront her deepest fears and fight for survival to find closure.“

In a statement, Tea Shop’s James Harris said, “We are delighted to be working with the extremely talented Spierig Brothers and this incredibly dynamic cast to introduce the next chapter in the Fall franchise.” He added, “With Michael and Peter’s vision, we hope to bring a bigger and even more vertigo-inducing experience to audiences.”
The Spierig Brothers said, “We were huge fans of the first film and couldn’t wait to continue the journey. Our aim was to capture the same intensity that Scott Mann and his team established in the original, while adding new, layered characters who will connect with audiences as they endure extreme and terrifying heights.“
The sequel reunites producers Mark Lane and Harris of Tea Shop Productions (47 Meters Down), Capstone’s Christian Mercuri, David Haring, and Scott Mann via the Flawless banner. Dan Asma, John Long, and Roman Viaris also return as executive producers, alongside Capstone’s Ruzanna Kegeyan.
Wych Kaos’ Kaos Entertainment served as the production service partner in Thailand, with Kaos also joining as an executive producer. Capstone Studios has greenlit both Fall 2 and Fall 3 as part of the franchise, with Mann set to return as writer and director for the third installment.
Fall 2 will hit theaters in early 2026 via Lionsgate.
